On December 8 the Seattle Symphony got the season off to a festive start with Holiday Musical Salute at the Westin Seattle. The event featured a fabulous assortment of pop-up shops, a hot cider reception and luncheon, and a concert conducted by Assistant Conductor Pablo Rus Broseta, featuring the orchestra, Young Artist Marley Erickson and Northwest Boychoir Apprentices.

This annual event benefits the Seattle Symphony’s contribution to the Players’ Pension Plan, and this year’s event set a new record, raising over $220,000 in support of these inspiring musicians.

Special thanks to Holiday Musical Salute Co-Chairs Rebecca Layman-Amato and Claire Angel for their leadership and to the entire event committee for their dedication. Thanks also to Presenting Sponsor Delta Air Lines and Holiday Lane Sponsor Wells Fargo Private Bank for their generosity, and to the many table hosts, sponsors, attendees, donors and pop-up shop vendors for helping to make this year’s event such a huge success.
