Argentine pianist Ingrid Fliter will be taking the stage April 2-4 for Chopin's Piano Concerto No. 2. Get to know her here:
Chopin is a composer that speaks directly to the heart of people. Like a dear friend who shares with us his deepest secrets of life. His music is intimate and personal. He doesn't describe landscapes or tell stories. He speaks about human feelings and we can all feel represented and touched by this. He creates harmony and enhances beauty in our lives.
Good headphones, good book, good food, neck pillow and patience.
Nothing really exceptional that's worth sharing. However I try not to practice too much and I do ask myself whom I want to be that night in the performance... that helps me get into the "zone"...
Amerika by Franz Kafka and The Garden of Forking Paths by Jorge Luis Borges.
Painting has opened the doors of freedom for me. There I can be totally myself without any judgement. This has enhanced my musical approach as well, as it took a lot of pressure away from the playing.
