Rohan Kapur is an eighth grader at Hamilton International Middle School. He has been singing in the Northwest Boychoir since 2013. As a Boychoir member, Rohan has had multiple performances with the Seattle Symphony, his favorites being Messiaen’s Trois petites liturgies de la Présence Divine, Orff’s Carmina burana and Stravinsky’s Persephone. In his spare time Rohan enjoys Geocaching and playing basketball.
Lee Mills is internationally recognized as a passionate, multifaceted and energetic conductor. He has led performances with the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra that have been hailed as having a “sonority of unequalled liveliness and quality,” working alongside such artists as Simone Porter, Conrad Tao, Eliane Coelho and the Smetana Trio. His conducting engagements outside of the Brazilian Symphony Orchestra include the National Symphony Orchestra, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the São Paulo State Symphony Orchestra, the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra.
The Community Youth Chorus launched in October 2019 as part of the Seattle Symphony’s Beethoven Festival. This unique chorus is comprised of youth ages 14–18 from across King County. Leading chorus activities are Megan McCormick, Chorus Director, and Angelique Poteat, Composition Director. The chorus is currently 30 members strong and still actively recruiting.
