Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra with The Seattle Choral Company & SYSO 75th Anniversary Alumni Orchestra

Featuring Maestro Alastair Willis at the podium, the Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra opens its final concert of the season with music from Paul Chihara’s ballet suite from The Tempest. The orchestra then welcomes Seattle Symphony violinist Mae Lin to perform Ernest Chausson’s Poéme, followed by two compositions featuring the Seattle Choral Company–– Leonard Bernstein’s “Make our Garden Grow” from Candide and Aaron Copland’s “The Promise of Living” from The Tender Land. To complete the SYSO season, a combined orchestra of SYSO alumni and current SYSO students will perform Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Symphony No. 2 under the baton of Maestro Anthony Elliot.
