Ben Klinger has dedicated much of his career in the piano industry to helping other artists and organizations grow in exposure and opportunities. Over the last twenty years he has hosted or sponsored hundreds of concerts and has been deeply involved in community events, such as Pianos in the Parks and Ten Grands. His work in the piano-retail world has resulted in spotlights in several magazines, newspapers and TV appearances. He also has been a featured public speaker on numerous occasions. In 2012 he published a philosophical piano-buying guide, entitled, “Why We Play: A Guide to Finding the Right Piano,” which has received excellent reviews. He graduated magna cum laude from Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music, with a B.M. in Commercial Arranging. Before entering music retail he played and taught professionally for several years, having worked as a sideman for a variety of jazz and blues groups. He also has played on many recordings of other artists. Though he continues to write music and chip away at his first solo CD, most of his creative energies today are invested in his family and his career at Classic Pianos in Bellevue.
