2019 is Kelsey Cate’s fourth year with Ten Grands. As many may remember from the 2018 show, her now-husband, David Cate proposed to her on the stage following her performance!
Kelsey actively performs at various venues in the Pacific Northwest and has been a regular pianist at The Bellevue Collection, Canlis and the Space Needle. She plays (and occasionally sings) a wide variety of repertoire including romantic jazz standards, ballads, soft classical favorites, and contemporary music. Kelsey enjoys diversifying her musical style by incorporating elements of different genres including jazz, rock and improvisational piano into her arrangements.
Additionally, she is currently preparing to record and release her first original album of solo piano compositions, which will become available soon. Connecting with her listeners while performing brings Kelsey great joy, and is a primary reason why she enjoys playing in public. Wherever she performs, she hopes her listeners are inspired to savor life and the sound of music in a fresh way.
