On June 6 the Chihuly Boathouse was once again the site of the Symphony’s one-of-a-kind summer kick-off party, Club Ludo. This year featured Pearl Jam’s Mike McCready and Ann Wilson of Heart headlining the VIP event with the Total Experience Gospel Choir, while 2016 Sonic Evolution band Fly Moon Royalty, Seattle favorites the Dusty 45s and Seattle Symphony musicians Eric Jacobs, Joseph Kaufman, Valerie Muzzolini Gordon, Joy Payton-Stevens, Mikhail Shmidt and Michael Werner kept party-goers dancing long into the night.
Clubbers enjoyed delectables from some of the rising stars of Seattle’s food scene: Shota Nakajima of Naka and Neon Taco’s Monica Dimas; along with savory bites by John Howie, Bourbon & Bones and more. And the live and silent auctions encouraged bidders to keep the party going with unique experiences ranging from globe-trotting adventures to hidden local treasures.
Club Ludo 2015 was a resounding success, raising $235,000 to support the Seattle Symphony’s education and community programs. The Symphony thanks everyone who attended, the musicians who made it such a night to remember, Presenting Sponsor CTI BioPharma, the Club Ludo event committee, the many individuals and organizations who donated items to the auctions, and all our incredible sponsors whose generous support made this success possible.
